The Burning Shores expansion whisks Aloy to the game's post-apocalyptic interpretation of Los Angeles and tasks her with battling the ominous Nemesis machines. The expansion includes a plethora of new characters alongside the newly-introduced area to explore, along with a variety of new weapons.
Now, players have noticed a particular connection between Aloy and newcomer Seyka. Horizon Forbidden West has been a success for Guerrilla Games since its launch early last year. Forbidden West was particularly successful on digital storefronts with over half of the game's launch month sales in the UK being digital.
Now, Aloy's newest adventure has a unique twist for its main character.

Fans of Horizon Forbidden West have quickly discovered an optional romantic route within Burning Shoresfeaturing main character Aloy and the previously mentioned Seyka. Players are introduced to Seyka early on in the expansion and its story heavily features Seyka and her growing friendship with Aloy.
Later within the DLC, players are presented with an optional route to see Aloy pursue a romantic relationship with the new girl. Aloy and Seyka's relationship serves as the first fully-fledged romantic route within the Horizon franchise. Aloy's gay romance with Seyka would not be the first time a major first-party title from Sony has featured a gay protagonist.
Aloy's newest romantic option comes as just one part of a plethora of content introduced in Horizon Forbidden West 's Burning Shores expansion. The DLC features nine new Legendary weapons for players to hunt down throughout the new area, both available in shops and through exploring the world.
